Household Staffing Interview Tips: Importance of Letters of Recommendation: Episode 10

Published: 11/26/2013

At Household Staffing International, we are always more impressed with a household staffing candidate if they have letters of recommendation. These reference letters tell a potential employer that you are important enough to take the time and write a letter or, in some cases simply sign a letter that was prepared for by someone else.

What Should My Letter of Recommendation Include?

We understand that many families don’t feel comfortable writing a letter; however, these cases are few and not the norm.   A letter of recommendation should explain:

  • Your relationship
  • The satisfaction the family had with you as an employee
  • Their endorsement for your next household staffing position
  • Contact information for verification
